The Riverside County Library System opened the Home Gardens Community Library in August 2005 and remodeled in 2008. Library patrons can enjoy books, magazines, DVDs, music CDs, public computers with Internet access, study rooms, a large community room, and free WiFi. Library events and services appeal to children, teens, and adults, such as adult literacy tutoring, ESL classes, bilingual storytimes, anime club, homework help, computer classes, craft activities, and summer reading programs. Proceeds from the used bookstore sales help to support library programs. The property is also shared with the YMCA and Riverside County Alternatives to Domestic Violence.
