HopeNYC

HopeNYC began in 2009 with 6 people in a tiny space in Ozone Park Queens. The pastors, Sharo and Curt had just sold their home in Texas, given away all their vehicles except a small car and moved all their belongings to New York. They had a God-given vision to plant a ministry in New York that would provide a place for people to come "home" to. Together with a friend: Leslie Brown, they made the journey and soon were having a 3pm service.

HopeNYC changed locations 3 times in 2 years to facilitate the growing family of Hope and in 2012 we said goodbye to our little space on Liberty Ave that held almost 100 people. At that time we were holding 2 Sunday morning services in order to accommodate all the members.

In 2012, HopeNYC moved to our current location on Rockaway Blvd. It was all in God's timing and plan. This building occupies almost the entire block and during the aftermath of hurricane Sandy was able to distribute hundreds of tons of relief supplies to all the boroughs of New York City. Two million bottles of water, 75,000 blankets, & 25,000 jackets are just a sample of the ministry that Hope was able to share in Jesus' name and to his glory.

In 2014, we will continue the renovation of the Rockaway Blvd facility to include a 1000 seat sanctuary and exciting children and youth centers.

HopeNYC meets on Sundays at 9am & 11am and on Wednesdays at 7pm
Wildfire Teen Ministry meets on Fridays at 7:30pm. Liftoff Young Adult Ministry meets monthly. EsperanzaNYC also meets monthly.

HopeNYC currently represents a family of 22+ nations, unified in the desire to give the people of New York a place to come Home to Father God and become true followers of Jesus.
