More about Hot Yoga Renton

We are a supportive, inclusive, and non-competitive studio in which everyone can learn and grow. We welcome brand new students, as well as those who have practiced for years. Our yoga is designed for everyone —any age, size, shape, condition, or problem.

Our practice goes above and beyond when it comes to relieving stress and building inner confidence. We truly define “mind over matter.” Our deepest desire is to guide you toward healing and enhancing your own body, mind and spirit.
Our yoga:
combines concentration and patience
reduces stress
flushes toxins
increases energy, weight loss, and metabolism
balances thyroid levels
thwarts arthritis
increases joint mobility and range of motion
prevents illness and injury
Our yoga combines the skills of concentration, patience, and self control which leads to increased mental clarity and reduced stress. Developing a yoga practice can help you achieve total health through the balancing and strengthening of every system in the body. Yoga has been used to prevent illness, injury and to limit the effects of aging.
We hold our classes in a heated room (85-105 degrees; 40% humidity) to warm your muscles, prevent injury, enable a deeper workout, and flush toxins. Classes are either 60- or 90-minute sessions. Each posture stretches and strengthens specific muscles, ligaments and joints needed for the next.

We welcome new students daily. No experience is required. You can move at your own pace and rest as often as you like. We recommend you start slower and rest sooner than you think you need. We are here to support you in any way we can; this is your yoga practice. All classes are designed for beginners — and yet can challenge advanced students.
Traditional Hot Yoga is 26 postures and 2 breathing exercises, in 105 degrees. It’s the standard in many hot yoga studios.
Fire Series includes many of the traditional postures, with additional ones that improve upper body and core strength.
Silent Classes typically led by studio owner, Annette Petrilli. Students should have enough experience to get themselves in and out of postures with little instruction.
Breathe Yoga is similar to traditional but with a slightly different sequence and a few new postures.
Vinyasa Flow uses the connection of the breath with the flowing of the body from one posture to the next. All students are welcome, but having some yoga experience will help.
Yin Yoga is the opposite of a regular Hatha class as in Yin/Yang. Gentle floor postures are held for several minutes (typically 5 or more minutes) The idea is to relax into your postures, releasing and receiving. This 60-minute class is done in a warm room (approx 85 degrees), at the end of the day to help relax you for a great night’s sleep.
Yin-Yasa finds balance between effort and relaxation in a class that combinesthe strength of held postures and the fluidity of breath-directed movement. The class is suitable for all levels.
