Hi, my name is Rance Carter. I’ve been fishing Beaver Lake Arkansas for over 30 years. I grew up in Northwest Arkansas; my family and I have lived here since the early eighties. I started developing my fishing skills in McKissick Creek located in rural Benton County. This taught me how to read the waters and listen to the currents. I gained a deeper understanding of what the fish are looking for; where they like to hang out, what’s on their menu, and even the habits of the fish’s prey. This all comes into play when added to new waters.

As my skills increased I invested in a boat. Now I was able to get out onto the water and apply what I’ve learned and furthered my education in “Fish University” even more.

For twenty years I’ve specialized in catching trout in Beaver Lake Tail-waters and the White River. Ten years ago I expanded my brand and guide service to include multiple species including – walleye, catfish, and crappie – just to name a few. All the while I learned the intimate secrets of all the surrounding smaller lakes; what kind of fish occupied them, what their diet consisted of, and when they fed.

Because of my area familiarity, I also know the amenities associated with the local waters. This gives me insight on how to help my clients to be more at ease and provide them with creature comforts. Beaver Lake is my home water. The White River is my favorite water. The small public lakes in the area, including the Bella Vista POA lakes, all have special environmental differences which I’ve come appreciate. Some of which are quite tricky to fish.

My goal, my mission; to put a big ‘ol grin on your face by getting fish on the end of your line.

Some days will be better than others, it’s just the nature of the beast. But oh, on those Mondays when the conditions are just right, then watch out, we’ll absolutely hammer those crappie, walleye, catfish, and trout. Those species allow me to have target fish to pursue all year round with good success.
