Hudson West Folk Fest

We are excited to announce the first annual Hudson West Folk Festival in Jersey City on Saturday September 9, 2017! Save the date, and get ready for a memorable day of interactive, music-themed entertainment. Held over an eight-hour period, the festival will feature 12 musical artists—both national and regional—as well as music workshops and vendors.

Music scheduling for this day-long event will reflect the evolution of folk music as demonstrated by performances cycling through the centuries. Time-honored traditional music will segue to contemporary renderings, and the circle will complete with performers whose interpretations push the boundaries of the genre. The festival will feature both national name performers as well as rising, regional acts.

Dynamic, interactive workshops will play an important role in reflecting the history of folk's expansion. Vendors will also be integrated into the festivities, providing not only food and beverage, but cultural and music-oriented goods and services.

The festival will be held in Cathedral Hall located in historic downtown Jersey City. Located just 8 blocks from the Grove Street PATH station, the building’s spectacular design includes a 54-foot ceiling, masterful stained glass and a pipe organ. Cathedral Hall maintains the grandeur of its former identity while operating as a secular venue.
