We focus on a hands-on, field oriented educational philosophy. Few, if any, academic programs provide such a strong interplay between classroom theory and field laboratory practice. HSU's Wildlife and Fisheries Building was renovated in 1999 providing up-to-date facilities. An on-campus salmonid fish hatchery, a marine laboratory, and a 90' ocean-going vessel are integral features of our instructional program.
