Hummingbird House history. The original Hart store in Sedona, built in 1926 for L. E. "Dad" and Delia Hart was a general store and community center that became the heart of the blossoming town of Sedona. The Hummingbird House on the National Register of Historic Places, an original waterwheel is still on property. You can still stop in to find out what is new and pick up a few things to soothe your travel weary soul. With a nod to it’s past, the many rooms of this charming house are decorated top to bottom with giftable items creatively displayed in one of the many ‘themed’ rooms – including garden & patio, art & antiques, home decor, bath & body, baby and kitchen.
