This Location Was Known As The First Hustonville Funeral Home It Was Established In 1921 By Licensed Embalmer & Funeral Director Thurman Boyle. Mr.Boyle Operated The Funeral Home Until 1934 When He Was Investigated & Charged By Local Authorities With Being A Necrophiliac. His Family Claimed He Was Innocent Of All Charges, Yet The Families Reputation Was Tainted And Never Recovered. Mr.Boyle Unexpectedly Committed Suicide Prior To His Trail Date So No Justice Was Ever Done. The Hustonville Funeral Home Went Out Of Business For Good In 1958.
Many Local Residents Felt Violated By Mr.Boyles Treatment Of Their Loved Ones And Always Believed Their Loved Ones Spirits Remained Inside. Hustonville Funeral Home Motto Was "Look Alive" That Was The Last Words Mr.Boyle Would Say To All His Patients Before He Laid Them To Rest.
Out Of Respect For The Families The Upstairs Where Most Of The Assaults Took Place Has Been Sealed Off From Public Viewing.Doors Will Reopen 2014 For Public Access.
