Hutchinson Community College - Emergency Communications

This program prepares students in the highly technical and challenging arena of emergency communications. The dispatcher is the first link to serve the general public and to set the wheels in motion for the citizens call for help! The program includes the study of all aspects of the emergency communications and provides them with a strong foundation about communication centers. In addition to classroom presentations, laboratory sessions are conducted in a fully enhanced 911 center laboratory dedicated to HCC Emergency Dispatch student skill development by providing "In-Service" training for current 9-1-1 dispatchers.
