About Independent AMSOIL Dealer Eddie Clayton

Eddie Clayton has been a loyal AMSOIL customer since 2005 when he bought his first quart from a fellow soldier while stationed at Ft. Riley, KS as a Sergeant in the United States Army. Clayton had first heard about the superior synthetic motor oil in 1985 when he was training for his Federal Aviation Administration Airframe and Powerplant Mechanics License; the instructor used automobile engines as a way for students to relate to aircraft engine maintenance theory.

Since that time, Clayton has continually been impressed with the performance of his vehicles, and in 2015, after retiring from 32 years of service in the United States military, he decided to become an AMSOIL dealer.

In October 1993, Clayton purchased a brand new Ford Ranger off the lot of a dealership in Lakewood, Co. Twenty-two years and 350,000 miles later - after nine years of AMSOIL lubricating the engine - the Ranger finally met its demise during a vehicular accident on State Highway 99 near Merced, Ca. Before its untimely downfall, the truck was getting 20 miles to the gallon. Clayton was changing the oil every 10,000 miles. He has also been using AMSOIL in his 2002 Harley Davidson Fatboy. After 29,000 miles, the motorcycle still runs like brand new.

Clayton's loyalty to AMSOIL extends beyond engine longevity. He is also concerned about impacts to our environment. Better engine oil means improved gas mileage, less wear and tear on engine components, reduced frequency of oil and filter changes producing less waste in our landfills, and fewer vapor emissions coming from the exhaust.
