Independent Herald

Our cause will not be to crusade, but to act as a means of furthering the people's right to know. As our name implies, we are an independent newspaper — not in the sense that we will skirt controversy, but in the sense that we will not align ourselves with any political party or faction within the county or community. It is our desire to stand alone and apart in an attempt to be as objective in our reporting as possible. — June 13, 1976.
