Infinite Flow Acupuncture

For the past 20 years, I have been interested in alternative medicine, burying myself in books to learn what I could. I quickly realized I needed guidance and enrolled in a Holistic Health course at the local junior college. This is where I found my first mentor, Mrs. Shaw. She encouraged me to pursue the two certificate programs, Holistic Health and Wellness, which set me on my path to a more formal education. During this time I interned with two acupuncturists and three chiropractors, whose influence motivated me to study Chinese medicine.

The summer before my undergraduate studies, I was hit by a car while crossing the street. This put me in bed for a month, during which time my body was healing in all the wrong ways. With the help of my physical therapist, acupuncturist and chiropractor, I was able to bring my body back to a good balance and heal appropriately. It is from that experience and those injuries that I have come to have empathy for those who live with acute and chronic pain.

With a new-found inspiration on life, I relocated to San Francisco, where I obtained a BS in Health Science, with a focus on Holistic Health. Immediately following graduation in 2005, I began my graduate studies in Oakland, California where I earned a Master’s in Science to begin my professional practice as a licensed acupuncturist.

My husband and I came to a big decision, and on New Year’s Eve 2011, we traded the intensity of our big city life for the small town comfort where he grew up in Willits, California. In Mendocino County I had my acupuncture practice in both Willits and Ukiah, and he had a successful business building amazing things as a general contractor. The allure of both forest and ocean in Humboldt County brought another move upon us. We are now blissfully settled in our dream home where the beautiful combination of trees and water ground us as we plant our roots and continue to grow.
