Imagine spending a few hours away from your busy life, quieting the mind, listening to tranquil music, and learning art and painting techniques through the practice of mindfulness—being in the present moment. Our classes will teach you to enjoy the act of painting itself, and not having it be the means to an end (the finished painting).
Since meditative art is learned through practice, we encourage you to enroll in one of our six-week painting instruction workshops. We also offer an introductory painting session, so that you can discover if you would like to register for our 6-week workshop, to enrich your experience.
Artistic skills are not required. Open classes (2 hrs.) are for men and women 21 yrs. and over. Private group painting parties (3 hrs.) are available for 8 -12 people. Teen and young adult parties require a private group session.
What you will gain: A 16” x 20” acrylic painting on canvas that you create, plus techniques in painting, and mindfulness meditation
About the Instructor: Gloria Kreitzberg is a professional illustrator and artist with over four decades of experience. She is a long-time practitioner of mindfulness meditation and has studied many ancient meditative traditions.
