Innovative Surgical Care is the private surgical practice of Dr. Valentin Atanassov M.D. FACS and Richard L. Grotz M.D. The office is conveniently located on the Brockton/Easton Line at 1350 Belmont Street Suite 102 (Route 123) in Brockton Mass. Our office is open Monday-Friday from 8:30am-5:00pm.

Dr. Atanassov is board certified by the American Board of Surgery, and a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. His areas of expertise include advanced laparoscopic and robotic surgery, as well as in office procedures. He is proficient in a variety of surgical procedures including surgery for diseases of the upper and lower digestive tract, which includes the gallbladder, appendix, colon, as well as surgery to repair all hernias. Other procedures include treating diseases of the thyroid and parathyroid requiring surgery.

Dr. Richard L. Grotz is board certified by the American Board of Surgeons and the American board of Colon and Rectal Surgery. His areas of expertise include colo-rectal surgery; General surgery; and laparoscopic surgery as well as in office procedures such as hemorrhoid banding and excisions.

Our office accepts most health insurance plans, and we are able to accommodate appointments within 7-10 business days. Dr Atanassov and Dr. Grotz are active participants in the Steward Network and performs surgery at Steward Healthcare Good Samaritan Hospital. Dr. Atanassov also performs surgery at Signature Healthcare Brockton Hospital . All efforts are made to keep patients within their insurance networks including hospitalizations and diagnostic testing. Additionally, we accept Medicare and PPO insurance plans with NO Referral required to see us.
