Inside the Polygon was founded by a group of friends who loved weather. The team is based in the Indy metro area and provides real time hazard weather information for the NWS and local media. Through our professional careers, Inside the Polygon team members have been at the center of major federal incidents from coast to coast. Our trade has been providing decision makers with real time intelligence.

As civilian professionals, we provide real time weather information and photographs of the most dangerous environments known to man.

Hazard Forecast- Justin Sparks
Justin Sparks originally hails from Kokomo, Indiana and has been involved in public safety since 1999. Currently, Justin works in Indianapolis as Chief of Health & Safety for the Wayne Township Fire Department.

Justin's love for weather dates back to a junior high summer school class on Meteorology and has been hooked ever since. He specializes in real time radar analysis. His work during warnings has been used the by the A.P. worldwide, and has been used by the Weather Channel during live coverage of severe weather.

During severe weather events, you can often find Justin in the rain free base, providing in person reports to forecasters issuing warnings.

In his full time work, he has worked as the Situation Unit Leader, Technical Information Specialist, and Planning Section Chief at the Indy 500, Brickyard 400, Moto GP, Hurricane Sandy, The Henryville Tornado event providing real time situational intelligence to local, state, and federal partners.

Lead Photographer - Tod F. Parker
Tod F. Parker is a freelance photographer based in Indianapolis, IN. For the last 12 years his photos have been published in dozens of nationally-recognized public safety magazines, training manuals, books, and specialized websites around the globe.
His personal website, PhotoTac.com has become a massive resource on the internet for firefighters and any other individuals who require high-quality, detailed photographs of public safety doing their jobs.

Along with his niche in public safety, he was a regular freelance photographer to the Indianapolis Star and several of it's parent publications including Carmel Magazine, Fisher/Geist Magazine, and Noblesville Magazine. He is currently the staff photographer (Car #131) for Pike Township Fire Department, Wayne Township Fire Dept., a Technical Information Specialist (TIS) for Indiana Task Force-1.He also volunteers his time to the media/photo unit for The Indianapolis Fire Department (IFD).

During severe weather, he is often found chasing storms and reporting spotting information to the NWS
as a certified Skywarn Storm Spotter. He is a licensed Ham Radio operator (K3TOD) and specializes in severe weather and lightning photography.He resides in Indianapolis with his wife and three rowdy boys, where he continues to work as a freelancer, concentrating
on family candids, senior photos, corporate events, and anything else that is memorable and/or meaningful for clients.
