Welcome!

Inskein Yarns is a place for knitters & crocheters. We carry a wide variety of yarns, books, hooks, needles, and notions!

We like to be as eco-friendly as possible, and carry many yarns that are 100% natural fiber, a few that are un-dyed, as well as economically friendly choices. Our brands include Araucania, Mirasol, Juniper Moon Farm, Kollage, Berroco, Plymouth, Patons, Red Heart, and more.

We also offer classes! Beginner's classes are held the fourth Saturday of every month. Technique Tuesday teaches a specific stitch or technique each week for free! Other classes are scheduled monthly as well (check store for details). We also do private instruction if you're looking to learn something specific that isn't currently being offered in our class selection!

Inskein Yarns is also very much about community! We love getting to know everyone!!! We have a seating area right as you walk in, which is always open for you to come sit and stitch with us! This is also where we hold our classes and weekly stitch groups, Asylum (because we're crazy about yarn and need our group therapy!) ;)

Asylum times are Monday 6-8pm, Tuesday 10am-noon, and Wednesday 6-8pm.

And if that's not enough group stitching for you, the San Antonio Stitch 'n' Bitch Meet-Up group (found on meetup.com) is held here every Saturday except the 4th Saturday of the month from noon-4pm.
