Institute 4 Creativity

The Institute 4 Creativity (I4C) is a non-profit organization dedicated to advancing the understanding of creativity and helping people develop their creative abilities. I4C offers programs, classes, and events designed to provide enriching experiences, knowledge sharing, skill development, and motivating inspiration as well as marketing assistance and networking opportunities to help promote individuals, organizations, and communities engaged in creative pursuits. I4C is headquartered in Champaign, Illinois, where it maintains a multi-purpose creativity center that features classroom, event, exhibition, and studio spaces.

I4C was created:
• To encourage curiosity and provide support for emerging creatives of all ages.
• In response to the decrease in the appreciation of creativity by society in general and to address the reduction of art and creativity opportunities in public schools.
• As a counter to a consumption-based society, where people are no longer encouraged to create or do.
• By the need for facilities, methods, and techniques for people to learn new skills and to explore and expand their creativity.
• To address the need for affordable production and exhibition space for artists, designers, inventors, and craftspeople.
• To provide an interesting and welcoming space for people to experience the arts and to meet and exchange ideas.
