Inter-American Development Bank Staff Association Art Gallery

Shortly after the establishment of the Inter-American Development Bank in 1959, a group of bank officials took the initiative to create the Staff Association, whose objective to this day is to represent the interests of the staff of the Bank and promote activities for the well-being of its employees, including in the cultural, social, and sports fields.

Amongst the initial projects of the Staff Association, emerged the idea of creating a space in which to disseminate the various expressions of contemporary art from the member countries of the Bank. This is how the IDB Staff Association Art Gallery was born.

During its nearly fifty years of existence, the gallery has exhibited the work of emerging artists and renowned designers, painters, engravers, tapestry artists, photographers, sculptors, and ceramists, including internationally renowned artists, who embellished the showroom such as Marta Uriburu Minujin and Nicolas Garcia from Argentina and Miguel Angel De Vita from Uruguay.
