International Culinary Institute of Myrtle Beach

The Culinary Arts program at HGTC has grown by more than 150% in the past decade. It remains one of HGTC’s most successful and well-regarded academic programs measured by enrollment, job placement and starting salaries. Graduates of the program have a job placement rate of 100%.

The new International Culinary Institute of Myrtle Beach will be a state-of the art education center where all aspect of the culinary arts can be taught to the highest possible standards, encouraging students of all ages and backgrounds who wish to pursue the culinary arts as a lifelong profession. Housing the program in one location will allow greater interaction between the students and faculty and will eliminate duplicating resources in two locations.

Located on the College’s Grand Strand Campus in the Market Common area of Myrtle Beach, the new building will provide bakery/patisserie laboratories, a nutrition lab, production and training kitchens, an outdoor barbeque kitchen, greenhouse, wine cellar, beverage bar, chef’s bar, chef’s table, and an amphitheater. The amphitheater will provide a staging area for guest chefs to teach, offer cooking classes to the general public, and will have broadcast capabilities for local television stations.
