International Rescue and Relief is a unique Bachelor of Science degree designed for adventurous students who want to serve mankind through disaster and humanitarian relief. There are core courses and two emphases to choose from. Students learn through hands-on training in different environments, including one semester studying in a developing country during their junior or senior year. Upon completion, students will be prepared in aspects of rescue, survival and humanitarian relief.
The multi-track curriculum combines rescue and survival skills, emergency care, humanitarian relief, public health, disaster management and multi-cultural service training. Certifications include white water and high angle rescue and EMS.
