My name is Nathan Alsman and I am the founder of I.N.P.S. As a child, I grew up in a house that contained at least 2 spirits. While I feel that the spirits meant no harm to me or my family, I often found myself very frustrated. This is because when my family and I would share our experiences with others, they would laugh at us and basically treat us as if we were crazy. As I grew into an adult, I learned of others who had shared similar experiences and also had been made to feel like they had nothing more than over-active imaginations. Our main objective at I.N.P.S. is to hear what you have to say, come to your place of activity and investigate that place with an open mind. Even the most seasoned and experienced paranormal investigators will admit that a lot of reported claims can be explained by simple investigative techniques. However, there are also other paranormal investigators that will tell you that every pop, every creak and every shadow you see out of the corner of your eye is a spirit of some kind. We at I.N.P.S. come to every investigation with an open mind. While we would like to believe that every sound we hear and sighting we see is paranormal, we know that not all things out of the ordinary are paranormal.

FAQ's

* How much do paranormal investigations cost?
Unfortunately, there are real costs associated with conducting an investigation. The cost to conduct paranormal investigations are as follows:
- $12 per hour for 2 hours
- $10 per hour for 4 hours
- $8 per hour for 6 hours
- $7 per hour for 8 hours
This price list will also include an up-front deposit of $50.

* Is a deposit required when booking a paranormal investigation?
Yes, a deposit of $50 is required when booking your investigation and the deposit must be received by the Iowa-Nebraska Paranormal Society no later than fourteen (14) calendar days prior to the investigation. We will accept payment in the forms of: personal check, cashier’s check, money order, credit card and PayPal.

* When is my deposit refundable?
If you wish to cancel the investigation after we have received the deposit, you may do so up to five (5) days prior to the reserved date. Upon notice of your cancellation, we will refund your deposit within two (2) weeks. If you cancel after the five (5) day cutoff, your deposit will not be refunded.

* How do I book a paranormal investigation?

* Can I participate in the paranormal investigation?
Yes you can. However, anyone attending the paranormal investigation must be at least 18 years old.

* Will I be able to wander around on my own?
No. You must be accompanied by a member of our staff at all times. This helps to prevent evidence contamination.

* Can we use our own cameras, video cameras, digital recorders, etc?
Yes. It is encouraged that you bring your own electronic equipment if you choose to participate. The Iowa-Nebraska Paranormal Society is not responsible for lost or damaged equipment that we do not provide.

* What can't we bring?
Please use your common sense. Alcohol and weapons are not permitted during an investigation. Smoking is also not permitted during an investigation, including outdoor spaces within close proximity to the area being investigated. Again, this is to prevent evidence contamination.

* Will I have to fill out a waiver?
Yes, everyone consenting to and/or attending a paranormal investigation is required to fill out waiver forms. Waivers can be filled out in advance and can be provided prior to the investigation if requested.
