The MAIZE MAZE is a corn maze covering over 4 acres and has over 2 miles of pathways within it. The corn maze hosted by the Fayette County Conservation group is located in beautiful NE Iowa near the town of Elgin. Each year the maze has a different design, which is produced by local LaVerne Swenson.
The maze offers all ages an opportunity to learn about the history of the local area and its agricultural heritage. The 2017 maze theme is "Amazing Iowa Fowl," and will promote and tell the story of the chicken and turkey, and their importance to agriculture since farming was started by our Iowa ancestors in the 1800's.
