Iowa Plastic Surgery

Dr. Benjamin Van Raalte has been in practice since 1989 and has helped thousands of patients achieve a natural look. He trained at the University of Wisconsin, University of Illinois, Cook County Hospital, and Indiana University. He is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, which only admits ABMS board certified plastic surgeons. He is also a member of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, and was the first plastic surgeon in the Quad Cities admitted for membership. He has been President of the Iowa Society of Plastic Surgeons and in 2013 Dr. Van Raalte served as President of the Midwestern Association of Plastic Surgeons.

Board-certified plastic surgeons, certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgeons and members of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons are required to perform all surgery in a certified operating room. This requires all of the appropriate monitoring equipment, safety standards, and training required by hospitals. Our operating is certified by the Joint Commission.

Dr. Van Raalte is an Expert Injector, and he performs all injections himself. We offer Botox, Juvederm, Radiesse, and Restylane.

Our medical aesthetician, Alissa Gelaude, offers microdermabrasion, micropen treatment, peels, and Intense Pulsed Light Treatments. We have our own line of skin care products and carry Jane Iredale cosmetics.

We also offer laser hair removal, diolite laser, and Thermage skin tightening. Our treatments are only performed by a physician or registered nurse.
