Iron Ridge Marketplace is a full-service culinary market space and grocer designed to expand access to locally and responsibly sourced food in the Metro Detroit area. Our mission is to unite dozens of small business owners and entrepreneurs to provide local, whole foods and related goods at a competitive price in one convenient and centralized location. Slated to open to the public in Spring 2017, Iron Ridge will provide high quality food and beverage products to consumers direct from providers, a model not yet realized in Southeast Michigan’s food retail market. At opening, it’s vendors will include the following local purveyors: whole animal butcher, cheesemaker, fishmonger, charcuterie maker, coffee roaster & cafe, full-service bakery, restaurant, brewpub, poultry & egg farmer, dairy producer, florist/botanist, cold-pressed juicer, fermenter, creamery, chocolatier, produce farmers, and a locally-sourced bulk and dry goods distributor, with additional space for other local food makers as warranted. Additionally, the marketplace will house a community-focused, nonprofit test kitchen and rental kitchen space in an effort to assist and encourage local makers in their production and hopeful eventual sale of Michigan-made, artisan goods.
