Irondale is a village in Jefferson County, Ohio, United States. The population was 387 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Weirton - Steubenville, WV-OH Metropolitan Statistical Area.HistoryIrondale was originally known as Pottsdale, for Samuel Potts, who started a salt operation at Yellow Creek circa 1806.
