Using a combination of classroom instruction and hands-on practice, IRSC's Cosmetology Programs will thoroughly prepare you to have a rewarding career in a salon or spa. Upon successful completion, you will be eligible to sit for the Florida Cosmetology Exam to obtain your Florida Board of Cosmetology/Barbering License.*

IRSC Cosmetology & Barber Styling Program:

A career training program which prepares students to become licensed cosmetologists and barbers.

The Barbering program develops the skills necessary for performing barbering services. Subjects that will be covered include the structure of the skin and hair, chemistry, histology, and physiology. Chemistry of products to be used and the effects on the body, skin and hair will also be included. Students will study Florida law as applied to barbering, salon management, and advanced techniques.

The Cosmetology program develops the skills necessary for performing salon services. Subjects that will be covered include the structure of the skin and hair, chemistry, histology, and physiology. Chemistry of products to be used and the effects on the body, skin, and hair will also be included. Students will study Florida law as applied to cosmetology, salon management, and advanced techniques.

Facial Specialist:

Successful completion of this specialty course prepares you to obtain the Florida Facial Specialty License and begin a rewarding career in full-service salons or spas.*

* High School Diploma or GED® is not necessary to attend any IRSC Cosmetology/Barbering Programs.
