Isle a la Cache Museum/Preserve

The Forest Preserve District of Will County's Isle a la Cache Museum is located within Isle a la Cache and offers public programs, school and youth group programs, and meeting areas for rental. The Museum is also open Tuesday through Sunday for the public to enjoy exhibits from the Great Lakes fur trade, and purchase picnic, camping, and dog park permits. The preserve provides a parking area and access to the Des Plaines River for fishing and canoeing/kayaking and the 10.81-mile, paved/limestone Centennial Trail, ideal for bicycling, hiking/running, and, in the winter, snowshoeing and cross-country skiing. The preserve is open 8 a.m.-sunset.
