Ivanhoe Pharmacy & Ice Cream is now Closed

Ivanhoe Pharmacy has a long history in the Ivanhoe community, being a local staple for over 6 decades. The new owners - Ed & Kelly Derderian are the former owners of United Pharmacy in Dinuba for 21 years. As a team Ed is a pharmacist for more than 30 years and his wife is an R.N., who has worked beside him in his previous ownership. They both decided to take on this new project being attracted to the need in the community and the home-style, old fashioned feel of the pharmacy itself.
The Ice Cream Counter is an added bonus to the couples desire to re-open the pharmacy, reminding them of an era gone bye! They have transformed the inside of the pharmacy into a ice cream-type shop where locals can come and enjoy some of the tasty treat or snacks while they wait for their prescriptions.
Ed also brings members of his team from the previous store, DeeDee Solis and Suzanna Parra, pharmacy technicians, who together have more than 40 years experience in the retail pharmacy business.The staff knows how to treat customers with service and personal care, and their bi-lingual Spanish language knowledge insures everyone will be fully satisfied. The family atmosphere doesn't just stop at the pharmacy counter. Ed and Kelly have 4 sons who you may see at any given time working the ice cream counter or delivering prescriptions to the community.
The pharmacy will be accepting most all insurance plans including workman's comp, Medi-Cal and MediCare inorder to accommodate our diverse community. One of Ed's specialties is Diabetes Care where he will be providing free meter training on blood glucose testing as well as free blood pressure monitoring. A full line of durable medical equipment will also be available. Special orders are always welcome - "if we don't stock it - we will". For the cash customers, prices will be competitive with the big-box chains, bring your prices and give us a try. Deliveries will be available to the local area as also to our old friends & customers in the Dinuba area, Monday through Friday - all free of charge! The commitment we make to our loyal customers.
