Ivy Institute, Inc.

The Ivy Institute, Inc. was first established in 1984. It is organized to serve LDS individuals and families with Gospel based marriage, premarital and individual counseling and with relationship communication classes.

Gospel oriented marriage, premarital and individual counseling is sensitive to the special needs of both active and less active LDS couples and individuals who are sincere about strengthening themselves and their families.

A More Pure Language Education (AMPLE) is the core of the teaching at Ivy Institute, Inc. and is what makes us unique to other counseling approaches. This approach and material examines the scientific principles of psychology and applies them in light correct Gospel principles for the building of strong, enduring relationships, whether that be with a spouse, other family members, employers, children, former spouses, etc.

WHY A PURE LANGUAGE?

Moses 6:6 “And by them their children were taught to read and write having a language which was pure and undefiled.”

Adam and Eve taught their children a pure language. What is it about our language today that is impure and sometimes so destructive? Words are powerful, yet our choice of words has traditionally become impure and defiled. However, we have been promised a pure language in these last days.

Zephaniah 3:9 “For then will I turn to the people a pure language that they may call upon the name of the Lord to serve Him with one consent.”

A pure language serves the Lord and will unite us. An impure language serves the adversary and will divide us.
