Adam Trudel - Teacher
Guitar, Piano

Adam Trudel’s passion for music became evident at the early age of 3 when he began playing along with TV commercials on his keyboard. He started formal piano lessons at age 4, and his first formal guitar lessons began at age 14. In his early academic years he took part in many musical performances and was a member of concert band, jazz band, school chorus, select chorus and chamber singers. After completing two years of music school in Rhode Island, Adam began to teach professionally.

Adam’s love for music has allowed him many versatile experiences. He has played with numerous music professionals and ensembles, such as Parousia, Anne Lively, Ticklebomb Orchestra and Rooted Sound. He has also performed with community theatre companies such as Encore Repertory Company and RISE. He has accompanied ValLimar Janssen and played alongside Kaki King and Tommy Emmanuel – two guitar greats.

Adam plays six different instruments, and at Jack’s Guitar Garage he teaches guitar, piano and voice. His enthusiastic and friendly personality make him a hit with young students

Matt Caporale - Teacher
Guitar

Matt Caporale is a life-long metro west resident who has been teaching guitar professionally for the past 10 years. At the age of 12, Matt started playing his father’s guitar. By the time he reached high school, he was playing at weddings and in rock bands while studying music theory and jazz with a Berklee College of Music graduate. After high school he went on to Berklee and graduated with a degree in Music.

Matt’s professional career has given him a broad knowledge of many musical styles and musicians. Most notable is his tenure on the Carnival and Holland America cruise lines where he played with various show bands and orchestras. “This was a wonderful time for me as I had the opportunity to jam with musicians from different cultures and learn about their musical techniques,” recalls Matt.

Matt has established himself as a very versatile musician and teaches every style of music from rock to jazz and anywhere in between. His goal as a teacher is to give the student a full understanding of the instrument while learning the music of their liking.

Scott Farrell - Teacher
Guitar

Scott Farrell’s introduction to music started with a recorder in the 3rd grade. Soon after he took up the saxophone and later the guitar, which he has been playing ever since.

As with many who share a passion for musical education, Scott played in the jazz band, orchestra and marching band throughout his high school years. He also attended music theory classes while taking private lessons after school. While attending Berklee College of Music, he continued to perform live at local venues and teach part time.

Scott says, “What I find the most gratifying aspect of teaching is what I call ‘the click’. This is when my student starts to practice because they want to, not because they have to. It tells me that they are excited and want to learn more. It also tells me that I am doing my job as a teacher.”

Scott started teaching at the Garage in March of 2011.
Jacks Guitar Garage's instructors & programs use a progressive contemporary approach that teaches students the proper skills needed for a lifetime of musical experiences. Throughout all programs, students learn musicianship in a fun, creative, interactive environment, while learning the fundamentals of the language of music.
