Jacob's Ladder was created in 1991 specifically for gifted children who have an extraordinary ability to excel academically but who come from situations that make it difficult for them to reach their full potential.

Children enter Jacob's ladder in their 4th or 5th grade year. They are expected to remain in Jacob's Ladder through the 8th grade, then they will move on to high school and may participate in a Jacob's Ladder Summer Service Trip.
