Port Washington resident James Meyer can best be described as an “Accidental Photographer”. What started as a few pictures taken with a cell phone and posted to Facebook, has turned into a full blown love affair with photography.

“I started taking pictures of my hometown to show people how beautiful it is, but what I was showing them was Port Washington in a way they hadn’t seen before.”

With the urging of friends and a growing group of supporters, James Meyer began selling his photos online and in a local gallery. Requests came in for a hard-covered coffee table book, for calendars and postcards, mousepads, pillows, tote bags, phone covers and clothing.
Today, you can find James Meyer Photography for sale in art galleries in Ozaukee County, along with several retail locations, and online.
His work has been featured regularly on local regional newscasts as well as on websites including the City of Port Washington, Port Washington Main Street, Discover Wisconsin, USA Today, on book covers and on marketing materials for realtors and developers.
