More about Janet Leigh Theatre

The Janet Leigh Theatre is the campus movie theater of the University of the Pacific. It was named in honor of one of Pacific's most famous alumni, Janet Leigh, Class of 1947. Janet left for Hollywood and landed her first movie role that same year in MGM's "The Romance of Rosie Ridge." By 1950 she was one of the most popular actresses in Hollywood. Her marriage to Tony Curtis in 1951 sealed their place among Hollywood Royalty. Throughout the 1950s and early 1960s, Janet was a major movie star, ranking right alongside Elizabeth Taylor, Grace Kelly, and Audrey Hepburn. In 1960, she won the Golden Globe for Best Actress for being slashed to death in the famous shower scene in Alfred Hitchcock's "Psycho."

Janet Leigh and Tony Curtis produced two daughters, Kelly and Jamie Lee Curtis.

At the Janet Leigh Theatre we show current Hollywood releases as well as independent and foreign films. During the summer we have a classic movie series.

Films are screened Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and some Sunday evenings.

Show time is 8:00pm, except during the summer when it is 7:00pm.

Admission: Pacific students free; Pacific staff, faculty, alumni $3; general admission $5.
