Santamaria in 2001 under the name of JAS Dance. The company was created as a way to express culture and art through movement. Adventure, passion and the joy of moving were key ingredients to the core philosophy of "JAS"!

In 2001, our first class was held for FREE at the Boys and Girls Club in Healdsburg, CA. The vision: to create stronger ties between the diverse cultural communities through movement. By introducing youths and adults alike to the beauty of ethnic dances, we teach the essence of teamwork, self-expression, and a positive attitude. "Community Unity through Dance"

Now one of the most complete Latin dance centers in Sonoma County, we are unique for our programs, vision and far-reaching impact. Our dance academy is home to Sangre Latina, SoCo Bachateros, Rumbambeo & Bachata SeduXion dance companies, a pro, Semi-pro, and social Latin Dance groups as well as world class workshops and training.

Operating in Santa Rosa since 2001, our programs and numerous neighborhood activities have contributed to community development, stability and access to movement art-making.
