JBER Elmendorf Fitness Center

Welcome to the official JBER-Elmendorf Fitness Center fan page; operated by the JBER-Elmendorf Fitness Center Staff enabling maximum mission effectiveness and customer services, for our Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson patrons by providing the highest quality fitness services.

We are here for the active duty military members, their dependents, retires, and DOD contract workers. All patrons are required to have an ID to check out equipment. Patrons may sign in two guests and must present their DoD ID card at the front desk. All patrons must hand carry their work-out shoes into the facility and be in appropriate work-out attire. No children under the age of six are allowed in the facility except to swim in the pool and to watch an intramural game or special event. Strollers are not permitted in the facility except on the indoor track and at an intramural game or special event. The Arctic Oasis has a parent/child area designed for supervised play and equiped with fitness equipment. Children ages 6-12 years of age are prohibited from all cardiovascular, weight equipment, and exercise rooms as well as saunas. Children age 6-12 are permitted in the basketball, racquetball courts, and running track but requires interactive participation from an adult (Parent, legal guardian, qualified fitness or youth program staff member, or coach) AT ALL TIMES. Children age 13-15 Years of age are permitted to use all cardiovascular, weight equipment, and aerobics rooms but requires interactive supervision form an adult (parent, legal guardian, qualified fitness or youth program staff member or coach) AT ALL TIMES. Other activity areas, basketball, racquetball court, and running track require the parent or legal guardian to be in the facility. Children sixteen and up are allowed unlimited use of the facility.
