Over the last two years as manager, Ruby Garcia has led by example as a wonderful manager who shows staff the standard for customer service at our Edgebrook clinic. It's her philosophy that patients should never feel like merely customers, but instead, that they have been treated like family. That's why her staff know almost every patient by name, taking time to make each and every one feel welcome. When patients enter the office for the first time, they receive a mini tour of the clinic to familiarize with the layout and all of the exam areas. Ruby says this helps get patients acclimated to their surroundings, helping them feel comfortable and welcome. The space itself is newly remodeled and very spacious with convenient patient parking. The clinic also has a bilingual doctor on staff that helps explain treatments to patients in the language they are comfortable with. Patient education is another top priority. The staff ensures that patients understand set by step what their treatments will be like, and how to care for their mouth after they leave the office. Ruby goes on to say that many of her patients come in very nervous, so she's sure to treat them with an extra level of compassion. Before treatments begin, Ruby converses with patients to gain insight into their lives and gives personalized attention to each patient, not just dental talk. After her legendary pep talks, patients are often better prepared for the very treatments and situations where they were originally so nervous about.
