After 12 years and four locations, Maribel Duran has comfortably settled in as the manager of our Jupiter Walnut location. At her clinic, any time there is a patient at their window staff are quick to meet them with a friendly greeting, acknowledge the patient's concerns, and find common conversation, engaging them to make for a more comfortable visit. In her experience, she's found that clients generally want the feel of a private office, but with a fast service pace. Staff meet this task head on by having rooms prepped long before the patient ever walks into the office. They also aim to create a worry-free patient experience, ensuring each visit goes smoothly and the patient is never left waiting; not even for staff to verify insurance or prepare treatment plans. As part of this worry-free promise, they are extra compassionate to those patients worried about covering the cost of their dental work. That's why, when a patient asks about payment options, Maribel and her team work to explain all payment options in detail. In doing so, they help buffer their fears and make each patient feel at ease pursing the treatment that they need without the added headache of surprise expenses. Maribel shared one such example saying; "A patient once came in needing a significant amount of dental work, but was going to pay out of pocket for the exam. We soon after we verified the patient's insurance, and after digging a bit deeper we were able to verify what her insurance covered and determine the payment plan that best fit her budget. We sat with her to determine which parts of the procedure her insurance would cover and helped her with the remaining costs. In the end the patient was able to complete all of her treatments, and even come back to have more work done that she originally thought she wasn't going to be able to afford."
