Jefferson Middle School - Home of the Cyclones

Jefferson Middle School first opened as Columbia's high school in 1911. The "new high school," built in 1911, was converted to Jefferson Junior High School in 1927 when David H. Hickman High School opened. In 2013 Jefferson Junior High School became Jefferson Middle School and becoming one of Columbia's six outstanding middle schools.

The mascot is the Cyclone.
