Jenny at the Unwind Salon

My name is Jenny. I grew up on the north shore up the Sawbill Trail in a small town called Tofte. I started doing hair at about 14. I would dye my hair crazy colors and cut my own hair in my bathroom. I always knew that this was my passion.
I moved to Duluth in summer of 2012 to go to cosmetology school. I learned my trade at Regency Beauty Institute in Hermantown and graduated in July 2013.
I love cutting hair. I specialize in many styles of cutting hair. From military high and tights to long layers.
I've been in an organic life style for my whole lifestyle for a majority of my life. Growing up so far from a local supermarket we had do grow and gather a lot of our own food. I was so used to having everything coming from the earth.
I have sensitive skin. So I noticed the more non-organic products I was using on my body the more break outs I would have.
Using all organic products, colors, etc I hope to see a huge difference and I hope that you can feel the difference.
I'm also a licensed reiki practitioner. Reiki is healing technique based on the principle that the therapist can channel energy into the patient by means of touch(or no touch), to activate the natural healing processes of the patient's body and restore physical and emotional well-being. I have yet to really hone my abilities yet but I have been working with friends and family. Feel free to ask me any questions if you are interested!
In my free time I like to spend time with my boyfriend preparing for the Minnesota Renaissance Festival. Every year he and I make and create new costumes for ourselves.
Hence the name, Jenny the Hair Wizard!
