Jenschke Orchards

Jenschke Orchards located in Fredericksburg, Texas on Wine Road 290, has the best tasting peaches in the Texas Hill Country. Peaches are picked when the color is optimal to insure sweet, juicy, mouthwatering, fruit.

Jenschke Orchards may be admired from Wine Road 290, nestled directly off Highway 290 between Fredericksburg and Stonewall, TX. Seven generations of Jenschkes have grown up on the family farm. Travis began growing peaches with his father in 1961 on the Luckenbach family farm. Barrett is now carrying out the family tradition and growing peaches with his father in Fredericksburg. We offer the "Pick-Your-Own" experience as well as buying from the Roadside 290 Stand. We are elated if an individual/group wants to experience the rapture of being in the peach orchard. One can soak up the ambience of the peach orchard as well as delight in taste-testing the current varieties as you amble about the beautiful peach trees in the orchard. Many families have delighted in taking family pictures amongst the outstanding peach environment. Others have engaged in family picnics in the middle of the amazing, atmosphere of the peach orchard.

Our Roadside Stand provides various sizes of peach boxes ranging from 1/16th of a bushel up to 1/2 a bushel. The peaches are carefully placed in each box and ready for you to take to your home or favorite venue. Immediately upon arrival to our Peach Stand, every individual is offered a juicy, slice of the current harvested peach to guarantee the flavor of true tree-ripened peaches.

The peach orchard has 20 varieties of peaches and currently consists of over 3,000 trees. The picking season begins in the middle of May and usually goes through August and at times we are blessed with some September peaches.

Our peaches have been shipped/transported to numerous states in the U. S. as well as Canada. We are proud of the fact that our peaches have made their way across the Atlantic Ocean to Afghanistan.
