Volunteers fill a number of roles at Jones Park, from giving children a fun learning experience about nature or Texas history to sharing their talents behind the scenes. If you enjoy the outdoors, like working with people, or have a special skill, consider becoming a Jesse Jones Park Volunteer (JJPV)! Training is provided as needed and no previous experience is necessary.
Volunteer Goals:
•To support Jesse H. Jones Park & Nature Center by assisting in the recruitment and training of volunteers,
•To help educate children and the general public in natural and pioneer history,
•To assist with the construction and maintenance of park trails and facilities,
•To raise funds to help support the programs and development of the park, and
•To provide support and assistance when requested by the park staff in any other area of endeavor in the park or relevant to the operation of the park.
For more information, view the JJPV Bylaws.
