Jiles Memorial Church of God by Faith

In 1946, the Groveland Church of God by Faith was started under the ministry of the late Elder Charlie Jiles and his wife, Mother Ruth Jiles, in their home. In the summer of 1948, services were held in a tent that was set up next to the Jiles' home. As the mission grew, Elder Jiles rented a building across the street from his home to hold services. In 1953, the Lord blessed us to get the old church from Yalaha. The church was moved to Groveland and set up for services on the land donated to Elder Jiles for the church by the late Mr. Charles Anderson.

When the old building was moved to Groveland, Elder Jiles prophesied a new church to be put there, so the saints began working in that direction. When Elder Mose Price came to Groveland, he said, "I came to build a church here." The Lord blessed us under his leadership to dedicate a new church in 1981. Under the leadership of Elder Robert L. Evens, the church took on the addition of "Jiles Memorial" and is now known as Jiles Memorial Church of God by Faith.
