Statement: Mr. Stoffer has served as a volunteer and advocate for the Sequim School District since 2002. He has demonstrated an ability to make difficult decisions and a talent for working through complicated projects with multiple deadlines. His career as a Coast Guard commanding officer has taught him the leadership skills required to build teamwork, to encourage progress, and to overlook partisan politics in order to meet shared goals.
Mr. Stoffer brings a broad perspective that includes detailed knowledge of the school district, an ability to be objective and fair, and an appreciation of the diverse needs of our schools and community. He has listened to the community’s input and has worked diligently to understand the values and concerns of voters, parents, teachers, and students.
Sequim School District must prudently manage and administer our tax dollars allocated to education. Mr. Stoffer has worked to understand the complicated financial structure of education in Washington State. He believes that the School Board must partner with the District, the Legislature, and the community to envision and to create the learning atmosphere needed by our 21st century students.
Mr. Stoffer’s primary constituents are the students; please support Our Schools, Our Community, and Our Future.
