All About Joe’s Mercantile


I'm happy that you're taking the time to read more about us. My Dad and I started the company in 2012 and we are looking forward to bringing smiles to our customers for many years. In the past 30 years, my father has opened a variety of businesses in Tennessee and Georgia, but most of them had one common feel to them…Southern. Whether it was the antiques or auction business, we always seem to go back to our roots of the South. But all have been a challenge and that's the fun of being in business, the challenge of being profitable, and offering the public a great experience with great products at the same time. We are venturing out of our comfort zone but definitely keeping to our roots and are pushing forward with some of our personal favorite products that Joe’s Mercantile will be home to. And with the dedication and personal joy, we know Joe’s Mercantile will continue to grow and evolve further.

You ask why Bobby and Kristy Grove named the business after a fellow named Joe? Well, the name is close to our heart as it is the name of my late uncle which was my dad’s brother. He was a piece of work to say it nicely. Always lived life to the fullest and for some reason everyone always says I am just like him, which I take as a compliment whether they mean it or not. Since his passing in 1994, we have missed him every day and we finally have a way to keep his name and his personality alive, by naming our business after him. Now I can smile every time I see Joe’s Mercantile because I know he is looking down on us and is so proud of us both.
