John A. Coleman School

The John A. Coleman School is a nationally recognized special education program offering a comprehensive continuum of care from center-based classroom models to home and community, outpatient and evaluation services. The John A. Coleman School serves children ages birth to 21 years with developmental delays, orthopedic impairments and complex medical challenges.

All services are approved and funded through the NYS Department of Education, Department of Health and local school districts and municipalities and include occupational, physical and speech therapies, skilled nursing, vision, music therapy, family counseling, social work and psychology.

The White Plains campus of the John A. Coleman School is a community program serving the lower Hudson Valley region and is located on the same site as the Children’s Rehabilitation Center. The Yonkers campus serves the residents of the Elizabeth Seton Pediatric Center, a children's subacute care center.

The John A. Coleman School is sponsored by the Sisters of Charity of New York and is part of a Continuum of Care known as the St. Elizabeth Seton Children’s Foundation, which also includes the Elizabeth Seton Pediatric Center and the Children’s Rehabilitation Center.
