SOCIAL MEDIA POLICY of the Rutgers University Libraries:

_Introduction_
The Rutgers University Libraries are active users of social media, in a variety of forms, and employ them as forums to engage in conversations with our users and to share news and perspectives about the Libraries in a creative format.

_Policy_
1) The social media pages managed or overseen by Libraries Administration provide information about the Libraries and seek feedback from our users. Comments posted on our site will only be removed if they are vulgar, offensive, or function as unsolicited ads for events, products, or services unrelated to the Libraries.
2) The Libraries respect the privacy rights of our users and will only publish photos of or comments by users when we have been given prior permission (or, in the case of comments, when they are posted by the users themselves). This conforms with university policy which requires signed forms before photos of students, faculty, staff, alumni, or visitors may be used in university publications.
