Below is a detailed and extensive background bio about him and his life. His CDs and original music is for sale worldwide online by digital download and in very limited supply on music CDs (4 albums of his on CDBABY.com in Portland, Oregon which ships worldwide by Global UPS). Here is the long, detailed bio info about John:

I was born March 30, 1951 in Muncie, Indiana, a small midwestern college town 50 miles northeast of Indianapolis and moved to Indianapolis, Indiana (capital city) in 1957 where I attended public schools there for 12 years through high school. I was chosen to be in the gifted class for gifted children there at IPS School 58 from 5th - 8th grade and went 4 years to Thomas Carr Howe High School there from 1965-69. I had a world-class education there and later in college 5 years at Purdue U. and Ball State U. from 1969-1974, graduating with a B.S. degree in Music Theory and Composition from BSU in Feb. 1976. I studied avant-garde music composition with 4 genius avant-garde composers there at BSU: David Foley (opera composer), Morris Knight (famous avant -garde and New Music composer whose music is on vinyl LP albums and who composed "After Guernica" (named after the major famous painting by world famous artist, Pablo Picasso called "Guernica" which I saw in 1977 in New York City at the MOMA modern art museum in NYC) and Morris also composed "Entity One: Music for a Global Village" which used 24 tape recorders and 48 speakers scattered around a huge area in art museums around the country and other venues, and got rave reviews by famous newspapers in USA) and I studied music composition also with famous Dr. Ernesto Pellegrini from Julliard School (of Music), New York City at Ball State U. from 1972-1974 (my avant-garde atonal serial music composition for him, performed at Ball State U in 1975, was titled "Two Nudes and a Fire Hydrant" for flute and clarinet, and received a standing ovation and a grade of "A" by Dr. Pellegrini, and I studied Electronic Music Composition for 3 years with Dr. Cleve Scott, Professor Emeritus at Ball State U., from California and Hollywood, from 1972-1975, as well as music theory with him at BSU. I am a lifelong musician, and professional, playing piano since age of 5 and playing cello for 20 years in orchestras in Indiana, including All-City, All-State, principal cellist at Purdue University in the "Purdue Symphonette" and in Ball State Symphony Orchestra for 3 years from 1971-1974 (I no longer play cello). I worked extensively with the ARP 2500 studio synthesizer at Ball State for 3 years, a $ 14,000 mega synth, and I was on staff there for a year, as an undergraduate, to teach the students how to use the ARP 2500, which was extremely complex but fantastic. I composed 3 avant-garde electronic tape music compositions there, which were performed at BSU in the mid-1970s: "Apogee", "When We Dead Awaken" and "Zeitgeist: The Spirit of the Time" which won major praise. Each tape music composition took one year for me to compose, record and construct, using both pure synth electronic music and also "musique concrete" processed sound from acoustic instruments and sources, electronically altered. Dr. Scott told me in 1973 there at the electronic music studio (next to the BSU football stadium at the time) "Think about starting a new art form". I had composed an infinite music composition at Purdue U. in 1970 called "Infinity", which I recorded a very primitive, basic sample of at the Elec. Music Studio circa 1973, and I played it for Morris Knight...Morris said to me: "That is REALLY hypnotic, man!" To make a long story short, I began composing music at age of 8 in Indianapolis and performed that instrumental piano composition, in a minor key, for 800 kids at my school when I was in the 3rd grade. I have composed more than 20 styles of music in my lifetime, and recorded it...I have 4 double length CDs of my own music for sale worldwide on CDBABY.com, under my full legal birthname, "John David Thomas'. I played keyboards for 10 years in famous rock bands in Indianapolis, Indiana and in Arizona. My music has had radio airplay, including world-famous classic rock radio station, WFBQ-FM in Indianapolis. I was mentioned in famous BILLBOARD magazine in New York City in 1974, announcing my first original rock record, "Alabama D.A." and "So Hard, So Long", which had radio airplay. I have had published music since 1974 and I have 86 original songs and compositions registered with famous ASCAP in New York City since 1974. I was married once, long ago, for 16 years to a super religious girl/woman (she didn't act like that when I dated her and first married her, but she changed, for the worse, in my opinion, and became almost a religious fanatic) I have been divorced and single for 25 years now. I have 2 grown children, Bethany and Mark, ages 36 and 32, both married now, and my daughter has 2 kids, Jack and Claire ages 8 and 5. My kids live in Washington state now, where I once lived from 1988-1990. My son is a computer expert and a chess genius and he worked for the richest man in the world for a whille there: Bill Gates, former CEO and founder of world-famous computer giant: Microsoft in Redmond, Washington. Mark then worked for the next CEO there, Steve Ballmer, who later quit and bought the L.A. Clippers NBA basketball team with two billion dollars of his own money. My son was in the Iraq War for a year, in Mosul, Iraq, in the light infantry, getting shot at every day for a year there by snipers. He was in the U.S. Army for 4 years, and was a Sergeant there. He told me it is a miracle he is alive and went through trauma. He is getting his Master's degree now at Antioch University in Seattle, in "Psychology" and wants to be a psychologist, He is married to "Ariel". My daughter has a Bachelor's degree in English studies from Western Washington University in Bellingham, WA (near Canada) and she got mostly A's. Her husband, Jason Rohde, is a high school math teacher in Marysville, WA (where I once lived) I used to live in Mountlake Terrace, Washington in 1988-1989, after living in Phoenix, Arizona for 4 years from 1984-1988. I have lived most of my life in Indiana, about 45 years, but have lived all over the USA since then. I lived in Los Angeles, California for 1-1/2 years in 2006-2009 and also lived 8 months in Hollywood, CA and Santa Monica, CA and all over southern California. I lived in south Florida for about 3 months in 2007 in Miami, Miami South Beach (where I entertained tourists on the beach, and was told by Starbuck's Coffee shop there that I am "a celebrity") and Tampa and St. Petersburg and Ft. Lauderdale and Clearwater, etc. I first moved to New York City to live in 2007, and in 2008 and moved permanently to New York City (Manhattan, then Brooklyn) in March 2009 from Los Angeles. I currently live in Brooklyn, NY (part of NYC) and may move possible to Staten Island, NY (part of NYC also). I don't have much money now, so I don't go out for now, just watch TV, use internet, play piano, listen to music and radio when I can, etc. I am hoping for big things to happen for me in the near future, and get a major increase of income, if possible. I am in "Brooklyn Center" for now, a nursing home and physical rehab center. It has paid off for me here. I now walk with a cane, no longer needing a walker. I have been living 5-1/2 years at the Garden of Eden in Brooklyn, but I am not going back there, for several reasons. Enjoy, and have a great day! - John
