John's Barbershop

John's barbershop was founded by Don Jose Gutierrez in 1949. An immigrant from Durango, Mexico landed in the San Fernando Valley with the dream of establishing a small business, not only any business but the privilege of opening a barbershop where he can display his talent and art with his only pair of scissors and the birth of John's Barbershop was born.
As more and more customers kept coming back Don Jose's son Felipe Gutierrez(Phil) had also the same passion, desire and skills to become a barber and decided to help his dad run the business in 1957.
Phil Gutierrez was also very passionate and proud to follow the same footsteps as his dad that when his child named "John" was born his dream was to also see "John" cutting hair and labeling himself as a "Barber". Well that dream came true!
Today, John Gutierrez continues to carry the tradition by conserving and keeping alive the love, passion, creativity and professionalism that Don Gutierrez started back in 1949.
