Johnstone Ranch: Farm Fresh Eggs

Our flock consists mainly of the heritage breed known as Buckeyes. They lay a light tinted brown egg, from medium to large size. We also have Cream Legbars which lay a medium size blue egg, Sulmtalers which lay medium to large white eggs and a few other American Breeds. They are free ranging on one acre of land. Our hens are fed a breeder pellet, free choice of scratch, as well as oyster shell for calcium, and grit for good digestion. They also normally have free choice of grasses and weeds as well as insects. The eggs are free of hormones and antibiotics. Eggs are collected twice daily and washed immediately, then refrigerated. We are licensed by the state of California to sell free ranged eggs, license #738. We currently sell our medium to large brown eggs for $3 a dozen and for February and March we are offering small to medium blue and white egg mixes for $1.50 a dozen.
