Summer Internship in Participatory Cultural Mapping:

Community members and summer student interns will produce a Participatory Cultural Resource Map with geographic information systems (GIS), blending scholarly documents with storytelling and local art, at this center of family genealogy, connecting many around the Delaware Bay and beyond. The process of training and stewarding mapping tools, will strengthen community capacity for managing their own cultural heritage, honoring differences while leveraging shared experiences, and garnering respect from the greater community for future generations.
